The High Andes Adventure - Ski in Chile
The 7-day High Andes Adventure visits the highest ski resorts in the Andes and features 2 days of cat skiing at Valle El Arpa. Situated in the shadow of Aconcagua, the tallest peak outside the Himalayas, these ski and snowboard centers will bring out the big mountain rider in you!
The High Andes Adventure allows skiers and riders the opportunity to conveniently explore 5 resorts including Portillo, Valle Nevado, La Parva, El Colorado and Arpa in 7 days. This trip is geared for more advanced and expert skiers and riders and provides the opportunity to hit some of South America’s most classic descents. Not feeling like going large, that is fine, the resorts we visit offer thousands of acres of inbounds terrain to play in. We spend 3 nights in the Aconcagua Valley, home to some of Chile’s finest wineries and vineyards, 1 night in Santiago, and 2 nights in Tres Valles.
Join us this summer for a high adventure in the Andes!

Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVAL DAY - TRAVEL TO ACONCAGUA VALLEY
Guests arrive in Santiago where they are met by their CASA guides at the airport. After a brief tour of the city we head to the Aconcagua Valley and Los Andes our home for the next 3 nights.
Days 2 - SKI/RIDE PORTILLO
Today we head up the Rio Blanco Canyon and the border of Chile and Argentina to Portillo Ski Resort. One of the oldest and most recognized ski resorts in South America, Portillo is situated in a cirque surrounded by massive cliff walls leaving one in awe! Skiers and Riders can experience the Roca Jack, one of the most unique lifts in the world, and the El Condor where they can ride lines all the way down to the centerpiece Lago del Inca. Portillo is the training grounds and melting pot for many of the world’s greatest ski racers.
Day 3-4 - CAT SKIING IN VALLE EL ARPA
Considered one of the wildest ski resorts on the planet, Valle El Arpa, is an experience not to be missed by snow adventurers. Climbing out of the Aconcagua Valley past stands of Saguro cacti, the road to Arpa is an adventure in itself.
Ski legend Anton “Toni” Sponar spotted this terrain in search of new ski areas in the Andes. With over 5000 acres of terrain, 3000 vertical feet to descend, the most spectacular views of Aconcagua from any resort in the Andes, and skiing with an intimate group make Arpa one of the coolest destinations to visit on your South American tour. On day 4 the group descends on Santiago and its wonderful restaurants and nightlife.
Days 5-7 - SKI/RIDE TRES VALLES (VALLE NEVADO AREA)
Known as the Tres Valles, we climb the 40 plus switchbacks out of Santiago and spend the next 3 days at these 3 resorts, Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and La Parva. Depending on conditions guides will choose which area to ski that day. Traveling with CASA allows skiers and riders to take advantage of the Santa Terasita backcountry. Located between El Colorado and Valle Nevado, Santa Terasita is a 2000 vertical foot face with many different terrain features and holds excellent snow. The CASA van waits at the bottom of the road to shuttle riders back for another lap. We return to Santiago in time for guests to catch evening flights home.
